Sir Edmund Hillary Signed Letter

$499.00

A one-page letter written on "New Zealand High Commission to India" letterhead, signed at the conclusion in black ballpoint pen "E.P. Hillary" by Sir Edmund Hillary.

The one page letter was written to a Reverend in Las Vegas, NV on May 9, 1985. The letter reads in part:
"“I am already finding my time in India a stimulating experience. It is a country with a great deal of vitality and much is always happening–both good and bad. I had the pleasure of a half hour discussion with Rajiv Gandhi and was most impressed–he seems gentle but firm with a wide general knowledge and much commonsense. I believe he is very important for India just at present.”

The letter, which measures 8.25" x 11.75" has mild toning and mailing folds, and is in otherwise fine condition.

Unframed.

Sold with Certificates of Authenticity from both The Autograph Source (Lifetime Guarantee) and independent third-party authenticator PSA/DNA.
