A left-handed electric Hofner Violin Bass guitar , nicely autographed in black marker by Paul McCartney, with a now rare full version (first and last name) of his signature. McCartney touched the guitar when signing and left a small fingerprint in the signature at the end of the ‘y’ in his autograph.

This is a Hofner “Model 500/1 Vintage ’62”, which is nicer model than most of the Hofner guitars that you see signed by McCartney.  This guitar is also signed on the real mother of pearl pickguard – many that you see are signed on  white piece of plastic that has been cut to look like a pickguard.

Sold with Certificates of Authenticity from:  The Autograph Source (Lifetime Guarantee) and both independent third-party authenticators PSA/DNA and Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).

There is scarcely a more iconic Beatles image than Paul McCartney’s Hofner bass. This guitar is a re-issue version of the 1962 Hofner “Beatle Bass” that McCartney played.

This guitar is nicer than the cheaper Hofner guitars… it is a Hofner “Model 500/1 Vintage ’62”.
